Google Developer Group Chennai (GDG Chennai) is an official, volunteer-driven developer community that brings together developers, software engineers, designers, students, and tech entrepreneurs across Chennai and Tamil Nadu to learn, build, and grow with modern technology.
About GDG Chennai
Originally established in 2010 as a Google Technology User Group (GTUG), GDG Chennai is one of the oldest, largest, and most vibrant developer chapters in India and globally. The community provides an open, inclusive ecosystem where engineers and students from all backgrounds can connect, sharpen their technical skills, and collaborate on real-world software.
Through regular meetups, developer roadshows, hackathons, and marquee conferences hosted at premier technology hubs like IIT Madras Research Park and academic campuses across the city, GDG Chennai bridges the gap between grassroots technologists and global developer innovations.
